As a stand-up comedian, host, and actor, Sal Rodriguez has proven himself worthy of the calling. He has toured the length of Japan as a featured act with Comedy Fiesta, performing for our U.S. Military. As a member of The Comedy Squad, he represented the USO’s lead agency, Armed Forces Entertainment, throughout the Middle East, with the grand finale on-board the USS Peleliu, as it sailed the Arabian Gulf. Sal has shared venues with such comedy notables as “The Roastmaster” Jeffrey Ross, and “Last Comic Standing” winner Iliza Shlesinger. He is the five-time host and moderator of the Los Angeles United Film Festival, opening the dialogue between audiences and filmmakers. He recently made his debut as an auctioneer at Venice Beach’s G2 Gallery, generating thousands of dollars to benefit youth art programs. Utilizing his knowledge of CPR and First Aid, as host of EMS Safety Service’s Professional Rescuer DVD series, he was cast as a paramedic on VH1’s Famous Crime Scene – Michael Jackson. Commercial credits include Microsoft, Toshiba, Disneyland, Wells Fargo, and San Antonio Spurs, just to name a few. He is the corporate spokesman for Wealth Net’s Internet Paycheck System, coming to a television station near you. Above all, Sal is most proud of his volunteer work at The Los Angeles Braille Institute, recording newspapers and books for the education and enjoyment of the visually impaired.
